Basic Education

The Salesians believe in the importance of the formative years of young people. Working with the Department of Education, we have schools that cater education from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Currently, the Salesians are administering the following schools:

  • Don Bosco Technical Institute in Victorias City, Negros Occidental (1951) – Kindergarten to Grade 12
  • Don Bosco Technical College in Cebu City, Cebu (1954) – Kindergarten to Grade 12

Elementary and Technical High School with Courses in Computer Technology, Electronics, Mechanics- DBTI offers basic education and in partnership with the Local Government of Victorias City, has been offering free pre-school education to less privileged families.

The drawing-power of Don Bosco-Victorias is its technical curriculum with courses in Machine Shop, Electronics and Computer Technology and Practical Electricity. No other schools offer such course to their high school students. These technical courses became the foundation for students who dream to be engineers or who wish to join the country’s vocational workforce where technician skills soon serve as pillars of the country’s dream towards industrialization
