11 New Salesian Novices Canonically Admitted to the Don Bosco Sacred Heart Novitiate

June 23, 2019, Don Bosco, Lawaan Talisay- The Solemnity of Corpus Christi marked a new beginning for eleven new Salesian novices. Don Bosco Formation Center Chapel became a witness to their canonical admission into the Don Bosco Sacred Heart Novitiate. Presiding over the rite of admission was Fr. Godofredo Atienza, SDB, Provincial of the Philippine South Province (FIS). Done during the Solemn Vespers of the DBFC community, the aspirants and pre-novices, along with the Salesians of the DBFC, also witnessed the novicesentrust themselves to Fr. Philip Lazatin, SDB, the Novice Director for this formation year. Helping Fr. Philip are Fr. Jose Mari Bacucang, who will serve as the Socius, and Cl. Antonio Velarde, who will be the novices’ brother assistant.

This year’s novices hail from four different provinces of the East-Asia Oceania Region of the Salesian Congregation. They are:
