Don Bosco Philippines South Province

Salesians who take care of the spiritual life of the houses, the Pastoral Animators, met together for a synergy meeting today, February 12, 2020, at Don Bosco Formation Center. Considered the guardians of Salesian traditions and promoters of religious practices, the eight pastoral animators from all over the province shared news, best practices, and tips in order to coordinate activities.

In attendance were Fr. Vince Michael Sabal, SDB (Lawaan), Fr. Rey Garcia, SDB (Pasil), Frs. Keith Amodia and Vernil Lopez, SDB (DBTC), Fr. John Quincy Caballo, SDB (Dumaguete), Fr. Joriz Calsa, SDB (Lourdes), Fr. Abundio Bacatan, SDB (Dumangas), and Fr. Antonio Alipio Anano, SDB (Mati).

The group tackled the issue of a pastoral response under the threat of the 2019 novel Coronavirus. In Salesian houses, Pastoral Animators are considered the carers of health. The group also discussed the plans for an updated prayer book for schools and how to better promote Salesian vocations.
