January 31, 2024, ArchSOLL, Cebu City – Members of the Salesian Youth Movement with its nine sodalities celebrated the feast day of St. John Bosco through games and food. Participants played modified basketball for girls and modified volleyball for boys. Instead of the standard rules, a few rules were added to add twist to the sports.
Basketball was played without dribbling and assisted by a shooter on top of the ring. Volleyball was played blind with a sheet of cloth blocking the view of the opposing team and their moves.
After the games, the winners were awarded prizes and each youth group shared their pot luck of snacks. The parish also provided ice cream for everyone. Young people were reminded that the very spirituality of St. John Bosco is the celebration of joy and life.
