BDO Foundation turned-over a new technical-vocational facility to Don Bosco TVET Center-Balamban on March 29, 2023. The building comes with new tools and equipment for the TVET training needs.
Present during the event are key persons representing BDO: Mr. Mario A. Deriquito-President of BDO Foundation, Mr. Diosdado A. Rosales, Jr.-Branch Head, BDO Network Bank-Balamban, Mrs. Rosemarie M. Espinosa-BDO Foundation Program Director, and other BDO personnel. On the other hand, Don Bosco was represented by Fr. Fidel Ma. D. Orendain, SDB-Provincial Superior, Don Bosco FIS, Fr. Amelito Narciso D. Racelis-Rector, Don Bosco TVET Center-Balamban, Fr. Brian R. Butanas, SDB-Training Director, Don Bosco TVET Center-Balamban and other FIS Salesians.
In his welcome speech, Fr. Butanas expressed his sincerest gratitude to BDO for their generosity and support to Don Bosco’s ministry for the young. Moreover, Mr. Rosales, emphasized that opportunities such as this one is BDO’s way of giving back to the community. In his message, Mr. Derequito, stressed that behind the project are the employees of BDO who collectively decided to fund the project, thus reminding the trainees to finish their studies and give back to their families.
The signing of the deed of donation marked the official turning-over of the facility by BDO to Don Bosco-Balamban. Fr. Orendain, during his acceptance speech, assured BDO of the great care that will be put into the facility saying that “In Don Bosco, things will never go to waste.” Fr. Orendain later on added, that Don Bosco Balamban will surely use the facility well as a clear way of expressing their gratitude to BDO’s benevolence.
Fr. Racelis closed the program encapsulating all the good deeds shared during the ceremony. The project with Don Bosco Balamban is BDO’s third facility partnership with Don Bosco, with Mati and Dumangas as Balamban’s predecessors.
The entire FIS Province looks forward to the many partnerships with BDO and its employees in the future not just in building structures but more importantly in building dreams and changing the lives of young people; one partnership at a time.
