The Don Bosco Youth Center-Lawaan initiated a musical play in honor of Mary Help of Christians entitled “DA ONE?”. It was held at the Don Bosco Piligram hall last Saturday, 21st of May, 2022. The event was directed and supervised by Ms. Leona Jane Villanueva, Ms. Louella Pacada, Mr. Juvanil Alvarado and John Lorenzo Oflas.
A good number of people watched the show. DBYC members from DBTC and DB-Liloan also joined, together with the local community of DBFC. This was the first time since the start of the pandemic where we were able to gather many people in one event.
“Da One?” focused its story on love, fate, forgiveness, and a path to redemption. The audience were treated with moments of “kilig”, laughter, and the occasional sighs of sadness. The story revolved around two persons who seemed to have found the one. Yet fate brought a twist in their journey.
The academia ended with a good night talk by Fr. Andy Mendoza, SDB. A fellowship concluded the night as the DBFC community offered refreshments to everyone.
The academia was an avenue for all to truly put into heart the upcoming Solemnity of Mary Help of Christians.
