DB Boys Home Honors Their Father

January 31, 2020, Don Bosco Boys Home – Liloan – Both Magone Home and Boy’s Home sector woke up at 4:00 AM to dance to the zumba followed by the championship games of the novena games: basketball and futsal. Two teams have been formed: team Fr. Dong and team Fr. Cesar in honor of their namesakes.

Team Fr. Dong won the championship game for basketball while team Fr. Cesar won the one of futsal. At 8:00 AM there was the EPC Mass celebrated by Fr. Roneldo Vilbar, SDB. During the Mass, the brothers Andrie Estoche, SDB and John Erwynn A. Encarguez, SDB submitted their letter of intent.

After the Mass the whole EPC had a picture taking. To celebrate Don Bosco’s feast, one of the activities was cultural program in which the winners of the “TALA” dance contest showed again their winning numbers. The winners from the dance contest of the parish and the Magone Home Sector with the special participation of Bro. Andrie Estoche, SDB also presented a dance number. There were also song numbers by Mark Ryan Munar and the SSG president, Stanford.

At 12:00 NN there was the catered lunch sponsored by Senen’s Catering services one of the benefactors of Don Bosco Boy’s Home. Present during lunch were the faculty and staff of the school, the staff of Boy’s Home, the Salesians and especially some of the benefactors who were available. This was organized to show gratitude to the benefactors and collaborators of Boys Home for their support.

In the afternoon the outdoor games organized by the school continued with their championship games. After the games was the awarding for the contests during the novena days.

The parish church had the procession at 3:30 PM in honor to St. John Bosco around the vicinity. The boys from Boy’s Home just caught up with the procession since the school still had an assembly. At 7:00 PM Boy’s Home and Magone Home boys had a joint rosary walking around the vicinity bringing a bust of Don Bosco.

During dinner, Boy’s Home and Magone Home boys ate together. The parish sponsored special dinner for them: spaghetti, chicken, lechon and ice cream. Before the movie showing, there was the awarding of the winners for the novena games of Boy’s Home and Magone Home boys. After which the videos of Boy’s Home who joined the dance contest of the parish and the videos of the dance this morning was shown. After the videos were shown the movie “Where Love Found Me” capped the day.
