Don Bosco Formation Center – Lawaan has officially started the Academic Year 2022 – 2023. The program was held on September 5, 2022 at the Shrine of St. John Bosco the Dreamer – Lawaan III, Talisay City. It was a gathering of all the students – Aspirants and BEARERS together with the Salesians, and the teaching and non-teaching staff of the community.
The program started with the entrance of colors by Aspirants Jude Christian Baring, Allan Abello and Aero Tabarno. It was followed by a prayer led by Fr. Joseph Kunlé, SDB, and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem.
Rev. Fr. Adrian Mendoza, SDB, gave his welcome remarks and declared the Academic Year 2022 – 2023 opened. There was also an introduction of Salesian formators, teachers, and non-teaching staff, as well the students of Don Bosco Formation Center. During the intermission number, PreNovice Anjoe Dayday and Aspirant Julieto Cosep Jr. gave the community an outstanding performance by singing “You Raise Me Up” which was composed by the Norwegian-Irish duo Secret Garden. It was followed by the reading of the Code of Conduct by Fr. Erwin Joey Cabilan, SDB, with a short open forum. Afterwards, there was the covenantal signing of the Code of Conduct with all the Salesian Formators. Aspirant Julieto Cosep Jr. gave his acceptance speech in behalf of the students of Don Bosco Formation Center.
The program was concluded by the singing of “Live the Dream”, composed by Fr. Fidel Maria Orendain, SDB, and followed by some refreshments at the Refectory.
