This year’s Camp Agape: Member’s Day 2023, with the theme “Ayaw Kahadlok, Ayaw Kaguol, Kabataang Salesyano”, was held in Don Bosco Formation Center Pilgrim Hall last August 6, 2023. It was a whole day event of fun and comraderie.
The event started with a solemn procession with the praying of the holy Rosary. It began in the Mary Help of Christians garden, going around the DBFC compound, with the singing of the Salve Regina in the pilgrim hall. The Member’s Day program officially commenced after the Rosary procession which was hosted ate Louella Pacada and kuya Vhanne Villaso, DBYC youth leaders. A video message from Fr. Vince Michael Sabal, SDB, DBYC-Lawaan in-charge, was played since he was currently out of the country at the day of the event. A talk was then given by Ms. Ivy Larosa from Lilies of the Altar with the topic about the Salesian Youth Spirituality.
The afternoon session was light and fun. There were dancing, games, challenges, and lots of music which was participated by everyone with much youthful enthusiasm. Bro. Vanjo Gila, SDB, gave a short input on the rules and regulations of the DBYC-Lawaan. The day closed with a Holy Mass in the Shrine of Saint John Bosco the Dreamer where all the members took their Oath of Membership.
