Don Bosco Retreat House – Mantalongon Received First Major Renovation Since 1967
The Don Bosco Retreat House in Mantalongon, Municipality of Dalaguete, Cebu, underwent its first major renovation since it was built in 1967. In the course of 5 decades various youth formation activities in Cebu Province and the Visayas and Mindanao Regions have been conducted here. It has become a testament to the Salesians’ drive to form young people through guided retreats, recollections, youth encounters, summer camps, and other formative activities.
The renovation of the Retreat House began in June 2016 and was completed on March 2017 through the generosity and solidarity of the Archdiocese of Cologne, Germany and Don Bosco Mission-Bonn, Germany.
The massive renovation work is a tribute to the 50 years of existence of the Don Bosco Mantalongon Retreat House and is a pledge to more years of spiritual and formative action.
