Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) embarked on the new academic year, 2023-2024, on August 14 with a range of events designed to welcome fresh faces and establish a positive tone for the months ahead.
The day commenced with a solemn holy mass led by Fr. Randy Figuracion SDB, setting a spiritual foundation for the upcoming school year and promoting unity among students, faculty, and staff.
Following the uplifting mass, DBTC orchestrated a program introducing educators and support staff who will guide students throughout the academic year. Fr. Rooney John G. Undar SDB, BED Principal and Vice President for Academic Affairs, emphasized the institution’s core values: Discipline, Dedication, and Determination.
Fr. Undar noted, “These core values are not mere words, but guiding principles shaping your journey at DBTC. Discipline sharpens skills, dedication fuels wholehearted efforts, and determination propels excellence through challenges.”
Students, both new and returning, internalized the importance of these values, not only for academics but also personal growth, aligning with DBTC’s mission to shape contributing members of society.
The day showcased DBTC’s commitment to holistic education, with students engaging with subject teachers to discuss academic and technical goals for the year. This personalized approach ensures tailored guidance for excellence.
As the sun set, an air of enthusiasm and purpose lingered. Armed with educator wisdom and strong values, DBTC students embarked on a journey embracing challenges and triumphs alike. The event highlighted the college’s dedication to academic excellence and molding well-rounded individuals poised to create a positive impact.
With this foundational event, Don Bosco Technical College sets the stage for an inspiring academic year, nurturing a community thriving on discipline, dedication, and determination.
