August 14, 2023. The Salesian Community of Don Bosco Formation Center Lawaan concelebrated in the Vigil Mass of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, presided by Fr. Fidel Orendain, SDB, the Provincial Superior of the Salesians of Don Bosco Philippines South Province (FIS), in the Saint Francis of Sales chapel in the Novitiate. Within the Holy Mass Fr. Roneldo Vilbar, SDB, was installed as the new Novice Director. Besides the Salesian community, also present in the event were the incoming pre-novices and incoming novices.
During the solemn celebration, the new Novice Director professed the faith of the Church and his dedication to the new responsibility in the presence of the Provincial Superior and the people of God gathered in the assembly. In his homily, the Provincial Superior thanked Fr. Ronel for his generosity and prayed for him and his ministry.
After the Eucharistic Celebration, everyone gathered for a fellowship prepared in the Don Bosco Sacred Heart Novitiate in a heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty for the gift of a guide and pastor who will minister to the new batch of novices in this formation year.
