Cebu, Lourdes Parish and Shrine
The annual formation of leaders and animators (LAF) was again convened at Don Bosco Technical College-Cebu, Audio Visual Room last August 21, 2017. The formation program started with an immersion to different parishes namely, Mary Help of Christians Parish in Buhisan wherein the youth participants were teaching the basic prayers to the sons & daughters of local farmers. The other group of leaders & animators were sent to catechize the scholars of Lourdes Parish. Moreover, the last group was immersed in Sto. Niño Parish, Pasil. After which, the participants went back to DBTC sharing their diverse experiences to the different parishes. 
During the afternoon of the same day, Fr. Randolph “Randy” A. Figuracion, SDB deepened the young people’s experiences through his input on CBCP’s Year of the Parish and the Strenna of the Rector Major on the family.
The conference ended with a Mass officiated by the SYM-FIS in-charge Fr. John Vernil Q, Lopez, SDB with Fr. Marco Bollozos, SDB, the youth in charge of Don Bosco, Liloan while Fr. Brian Butanas, SDB (youth in-charge of Don Bosco, Balamban) heard the confession of the youth participants.
The activity was indeed successful as the 150 youth leaders and animators part ways with renewed commitment & dedication to serve their fellow young people in their respective settings. Thus, the ever burning torch of “Youth Serving Youth” is passed on.
