This year’s theme for the Leaders and Animators Formation (LAF) 2023 talked about being a good Christian and upright citizen, which opened a wider perspective for the youth in knowing their role as a voter in the upcoming election.
LAF 2023 was held in Don Bosco Technical Institute, Victorias, and was actively participated by the different settings of the Negros District last October 21, 2023. Participants came from DBTI-Victorias, Don Bosco Dumangas, Don Bosco Mambukal, St. Joseph the Worker Parish, and Laura Vicuna Women Development and Training Center.
Rev. Fr. Gino Godinez, SDB, highlighted during his talk the importance of practicing our right of suffrage and the role of a Salesian youth leader on creating an impact in choosing our leaders for the society. On the other hand, Rev. Fr. Vince Michael Sabal, SDB, discussed the Salesian Youth Movement Primer during the afternoon session and explained its contents. A short presentation about St. John Bosco, who started the movement, was shown.
The event was concluded with the holy mass and a send off of the participants for them to be good Christians and upright citizens of our nation.
