In continuation of the Pakig-uban, the Salesian Youth Movement-FIS Core Group traveled to the Don Bosco settings in the Negros District:
Don Bosco Technical Institute-Victorias
Joseph the Worker Parish-Victorias
John Bosco Parish and Shrine-Mambucal
The activity started with a prayer and a brief kumustahan session among the participants during which they introduced to the group their names, their position in the setting, and their sodality. Ice breakers and energizers made the mood light and lively.
The SLaYA members and the SYM-FIS Core Group were introduced to everyone then the identity, vision, and mission of the Salesian Youth Movement were presented. The youth leaders from the various Don Bosco settings were then given the opportunity to share their calendar of activities, and then the SYM-FIS calendar of activities for 2024 and 2025 were presented. An exchange of thoughts and ideas, challenges and opportunities enriched the everyone and gave the SYM a preview of how to be of assistance to the different settings.
It was a fruitful encounter among the youth leaders and the SYM of FIS. It will open more doors for collaboration for the betterment of the apostolate.
