July 22, 2023, Don Bosco Technical College – 24 new altar servers, known in the Salesian Youth Movement as Knights of the Altar, have been inducted into the ministry of serving at the altar. After undergoing their initial formation, the new altar servers had their investiture and were inducted by the school rector and president, Fr. Randolph Figuracion, SDB. Fr. Vince Michael Sabal, SDB, the SYM delegate presided at mass.
The new altar servers are students from the Basic Education Department and members of the Youth Center. After their investiture and induction, all existing members of the KOA renewed their commitment to serve and had their leaders make their promise of service before Fr. Randy.
The renewal of the SYM has been the focus of the Pastoral Animation Office of DBTC. With new altar servers, the SYM promotes the devotion to the Eucharist and brings youth closer to Jesus as they serve Him at the altar.
