The solemn vows were received by the acting Provincial Superior of the Philippine-North Province, Rev. Fr. Felino Gueco Jr., SDB and were witnessed by Rev. Fr. Charles Saw, SDB (Provincial Superior of the Vice-Province of Myanmar) and Rev. Fr. Henry Bonetti, SDB (Rector of Seminaryo ng Don Bosco Studentate). Distinguished guests also present were FIS Provincial Superior Rev. Fr Godofredo Atienza, KOR Vice-Provincial Rev. Fr. Marcelo Baek and Fr Hermenigildo representing the confreres from the Vice-province of Indonesia.
The Perpetuandi chose the powerful line from the Prophet Isaiah for their theme— “I have called you by name: You are mine! [Isaiah 43:1]”. This covenantal battle cry is their response to a Love that never ends and a Love that overflows. One of the newly professed brother, Anthony Vallence, spoke in behalf of the group, noting that “the word ‘Thank you’ is inadequate” for the gratitude they express for all those who have prepared them since their early formative years. The event capped off with a lunch treat at the shrine gymansium.
