Pilgrimage to the Chapel of St. Francis de Sales
Every 24th of January we celebrate the Feast of St. Francis de Sales, the titular patron of the Salesians of Don Bosco. The Aspirants of Don Bosco Formation Center-Lawaan, together with their Formators, went for a pilgrimage to the chapel dedicated to St. Francis de Sales at the Sacred Heart Novitiate within the seminary compound. While walking towards the chapel, they prayed the Holy Rosary. Being the 24th of the month, we also remember Our Lady, the Help of Christians. After the prayer, Fr. Philip Lazatin, the Director of Novices gave a short introduction on the life of St. Francis de Sales through a video presentation. It was followed by the recitation of the Daytime Prayer in honor of the saint. The pilgrimage ended with some refreshments prepared by the Novitiate Sector for everyone. It was a memorable way of celebrating the feast of Don Bosco’s patron in whom the Congregation he founded was named after: St. Francis de Sales.
