October 4, 2018, Seminaryo ng Don Bosco, Parañaque City— We remember today St. Francis of Assisi who reminded us of God’s transforming love. He said once, “Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love…” and now he is an agent of that transforming love, establishing what started as a small band of brothers and has now made overgrowth as a global family of Franciscan religious men and women.
On this day, Br. James Y. Aro SDB proclaims a resounding ‘yes’in his commitment to continue following Jesus in the Salesian life, by renewing his temporary vows. What better way to thank God for His transforming love! Br James is a confrere of the Philippine-South province and is a freshman pursuing Theological studies at the Don Bosco Center of Studies – Parañaque City and in residence at the adjacent international Studentate. He did his renewal at the Community chapel of the Seminaryo ng Don Bosco (studentate) with his vows accepted by the Rector, Rev. Fr Henry Bonetti SDB, and witnessed by Rev. Fr Roberto Roxas SDB and Rev Fr Stephen Placente, the community Catechist and Prefect respectively. Br James, in his jolly nature continues to shout in thanksgiving to the Lord and his favorite tagline “It’s more fun to be a Salesian!”
