St. Louis School of Don Bosco, July 29, 2022 – The IT personnel from Don Bosco Technical College – Cebu and St. Louis School of Don Bosco – Dumaguete, came together here in this city to exchange technology and skills.
The onslaught of challenges brought about by online learning and the shift to cloud-first services demanded a radical change in schools. The pandemic brought to the forefront the role of information technology in the way Salesians deliver their services and mission.
IT staff from the two schools exchanged knowledge and skills by demonstrating different technology solutions from their backgrounds. They also installed together the Wifi system that is being implemented across the different Salesian settings in the Philippines South province.
Exchanges like this promotes collaboration among lay mission partners and facilitates upskilling by learning from one another. A networking and collaboration between these two sister schools will lead to better education and opportunities for Bosconians.
