Walk with Mary 2024
September 8, 2024, Cebu City – The Archdiocese of Cebu held its 39th Walk with Mary, an annual procession in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes took part bringing their processional image of Our Lady of Lourdes in a parade of the different titles and devotions to Our Blessed Mother. The procession began at 4:30 AM at the Asilo de Milagrosa Chapel and ended at the Plaza Independecia in this city.
The procession concluded with the celebration of the Holy Mass presided by his excellency Bishop Midyphil Billones, DD, auxiliary bishop of Cebu. In his homily, the bishop encouraged the faithful to be like Mary who opened herself to the Word of God, as inspired by the Ephata gospel reading. The Archconfraternity of Our Lady of Lourdes took charge of the shrine’s participation accompanied by the members of the Salesian Youth Movement of Lourdes Parish.
